Marathon Software is up and running
Now we have new muscle and a shared platform to keep developing our great companies.

Tempeludden got going and acquired its first company (Timewave) almost four years ago. The idea back then was to sell the companies after five to seven years, and for the first acquisitions to serve as Tempeludden’s track record so that we could raise more money and make more acquisitions further down the line.
…but we quickly realized that these companies are too good to sell. What’s more, they get better and better the more we work with them.
With the way the companies have developed, we’ve proven ourselves, and our track record is now strong enough for the next step: bringing Tempeludden’s five acquired companies together under one roof, Marathon Software. From here we have the funding and the structure to support our existing family of companies even better, and to partner with even more companies. Having permanent capital lets us be truly long-term, and the shared platform means we can have central resources that support each of our companies in the way they actually need.
So, what about the name? Marathon Software? We think it captures our long-term view, our constant drive and our endurance. We see ourselves more as an acquisitive software company than a traditional investment company, so we wanted the name to reflect that too. It was a fun exercise, with employees from all our companies taking part. We received more than ninety name suggestions and chose carefully. Now we’re proud to be Marathon Software, together!
